Yesterday, I bought more harp strings. I prefer to order through Vanderbilt Music. I went through my existing strings and purchased Fluorocarbon strings to fill the gaps in my set for the first, second and third octaves. My patch test tells me that these strings blend well with the gut strings already there, so I can gradually switch over. The whole order was precipitated by the Savarez Gut string. It has to come off! It is dead and frayed and now is basically intolerable. I am now eagerly awaiting my new strings!
